Dara Schuman will celebrate becoming a bat mitzvah on Oct. 10 at Congregation Shalom. She is the daughter of Carolyn and Daniel (Chip) Schuman and sister to Brad, 15.
Her maternal grandparents are Joan and Richard Rosenblatt of Chicago. Joyce and Alan Schuman of McLean, Va. Bernard Fox of Chicago is her maternal great-grandfather.
She is a student at Steffen Middle School.
