Milwaukee native Sharon Eve Colbert recently moved from Houston to the Buffalo, N.Y.-area to become cantor of Temple Beth Am, according to the Buffalo News. The former cantor, Susan A. Wehle, was killed in the February crash of Continental flight 3407.
Colbert has been a cantorial soloist since 1991 and was ordained in May by the Academy for Jewish Religion in Los Angeles, the newspaper reported.
