Kenosha synagogue vandalized

A spray painted swastika was discovered on the doors of Beth Hillel Temple in Kenosha Wednesday morning, July 8.

According to the police report, which was confirmed by a synagogue staff member, the building caretaker discovered the graffiti at approximately 4:30 a.m.

Painted with black spray paint, the swastika was about two feet high and two feet wide, covering the building’s double doors.

Police report that the Beth Hillel Temple was one of seven neighborhood sites vandalized with the same type of spray paint, though none of the others were openly hateful.

The graffiti was covered and repainted on Wednesday.
