Charlotte Kaufman

Milwaukee native Charlotte Kaufman (nee Kipen) of Fox Point died Dec. 11 of complications of old age. She was 95.

She was a 1930 graduate of North Division High School.

Kaufman worked as a secretary and homemaker, according to her family.

She was a member of Congregation Shalom and served as president of the PTA at her children’s elementary school.

She was especially interested in bridge, bowling, crossword puzzles and her grandchildren, her family said.

Preceded in death by husband Dr. Lawrence W. Kaufman in 1991, she is survived by son Lance (Susan) Kaufman of Scottsdale, Ariz.; daughters Dale (the late Harold) Bushee of Grafton and Suzanne (Howard) Coan of Kensington, Md.; sister Rose Kramsky of Sacramento, Calif.; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Blane Goodman Funeral Service handled funeral and burial arrangements. Rabbi Menachem Rapoport officiated at graveside services in Anshai Lebowitz Cemetery on Dec. 14.
