Local protest includes anti-Semitic and anti-Israel expression

Anti-Semitic and anti-Israel images and expressions were part of protest held on Tuesday, Jan. 6 in Milwaukee.

Sponsored by groups at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, including a small group called Jews for Justice, the rally included placards equating a Jewish star with a swastika, calling Israel a terrorist entity and recalling the blood libel.

The rally was held to "protest against the Israeli Occupation of Gaza," according to a release from event organizers.

One of the speakers, a Jewish graduate of UWM, called Israel "America’s lap dog."
