Milwaukee native Richard Mark Robbins died Dec. 1 at the Zilber Family Hospice after a prolonged bout of pneumonia. He was 56.
Robbins graduated from John Marshall High School in 1970 and attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He established a talent agency through which he booked local talent in area establishments.
“He loved conversing about sports and politics,” Robbins’ sister, Marlene (Ron) Wasserman of Agoura Hills, Calif., wrote to The Chronicle.
According to a eulogy delivered by Chaplain Gloria Krasno, one of his fondest memories was of meeting Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin, and he had a photograph of the two of them.
In addition to Wasserman, Robbins is survived by niece Stephanie (Marc) Kinchen of Tarzana, Calif.; and nephews Heath Kinchen of Gurnee, Ill., and Daniel Kinchen of Agoura Hills.
Blane Goodman Funeral Services handled funeral and burial arrangements. Krasno officiated at services on Dec. 5. Burial was in Second Home Cemetery.
Memorials to the Jewish Chaplaincy Program of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation or to Jewish Family Services, Inc., are appreciated by the family.
