Leonard Le Vine

Leonard Le Vine, a native of Milwaukee, died Dec. 22 at the age of 91.

Le Vine, a resident of Fox Point, graduated from Whitefish Bay High School in 1935 and the University of Pennsylvania in 1939. He earned letters in track at both institutions, his family said.

He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, attaining the rank of major. He became the president of Rosenberg’s, a women’s apparel store.

Le Vine was a member of Congregation Shalom.

His wife Bebe (nee Olshine) Le Vine preceded him in death in 2004. He is survived by his brother Edward (Lois) Le Vine of Fox Point.

Blane Goodman Funeral Services handled funeral and burial arrangements. Graveside services, officiated by Rabbi Ronald Shapiro, were held Dec. 24 in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Memorials to the Milwaukee Art Museum are appreciated by the family.
