Jacobs establishes chair at Medical College of Wisconsin

Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Paul A. Jacobs, of Milwaukee, has established an endowed chair in orthopedic surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin that will provide resources to the department of orthopedic surgery.

A native of New York, Jacobs has spent his professional career practicing orthopedic surgery and sports medicine in Milwaukee. In addition to his private practice, he was a volunteer clinical faculty member at the Medical College for more than 40 years.

For 25 years, he was the team physician for the Milwaukee Brewers baseball club and he served as president of the Association of Major League Baseball Physicians from 1979-80. He retired from practice in 2005.
