A son, Daniel Amir (Hebrew name Sasson Michael), was born July 25 to Mara Elizabeth Karlin and Reuben Solomon Jacobson of Washington, D.C. He is their first child.
The maternal grandparents are Charlene and Henry Karlin of Milwaukee. Bonnie Malofsky Jacobson and Jack Jacobson of Milwaukee are the paternal grandparents.
Thelma Malofsky of Milwaukee and Irma and Jerry Jacobson of Dedham, Mass., are the paternal great-grandparents.
The baby is named in memory of his maternal great-grandmother, Sara (Sasson) Lipschultz; maternal great-grandfather, Harry (Arya Amir) Lipschultz; and maternal great-uncle, Michael Lipschultz.
