Shmuel Avruch celebrated becoming a bar mitzvah on July 26 at Congregation Beth Jehudah. He is a son of Alisa and Rabbi Pinchas Avruch of Milwaukee. He is a brother to Racheli, 17, Simcha, 15, Chaya Shifra, 14, Mayer, 11, Menucha, 7, Shlomo, 5, and Nachman, 3.
The maternal grandparents are Gail and Milton Meller of Brooklyn, N.Y. Sheila and Phillip Avruch of Boynton Beach, Fla., are the paternal grandparents.
The paternal great-grandfather is Joseph Klein of Spring Valley, N.Y.
Shmuel is a student at Yeshiva Elementary School.
