Milwaukee native Elsie Vielie, of Mequon, died of a stroke on March 17. She was 90.
Vielie attended South Division High School. Before retiring, she owned a pharmacy.
According to her family, she enjoyed volunteer work, swimming, tennis, and spending time with her friends and loved ones.
Husband Ben Vielie preceded her in death in 1998. She is survived by son Rick (Sharon) Vielie of Sydney, Australia; daughter Sandy (Steve) Abramson of New York City; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial were held in New York City on March 20.
