Helen B. Rosenberg (nee Hurwitz), of Mequon, died on May 24 of congestive heart failure. She was 85.
Rosenberg was born in Milwaukee. She graduated from North Division High School and the Wisconsin College of Music, her family said.
In addition to her work as a music teacher, she was active in NA’AMAT USA-Milwaukee Council and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of Congregation Shalom.
According to her family, she enjoyed dancing and attending Yiddish Club meetings.
She was preceded in death by husband Morris Blyweiss. She is survived by husband Burton M. Rosenberg; daughters Marlene (Dr. Richard) Marks of Plano, Texas, Barbara (David) Blacher-Merar of Milwaukee, and Dr. Josie (Dr. Michael) Belsky of Ashland, Ore.; son Richard (Joan) Rosenberg of West Bend; and nine grandchildren.
Rabbi Ronald Shapiro officiated at services on May 27. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
