Milwaukee native Fred G. Pioso, of Lilburn, Ga., died Aug. 27 at age 42. The cause of death was amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (“Lou Gehrig’s disease”).
He graduated from Nicolet High School in 1983 and attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout and UW-Milwaukee, earning a bachelor’s degree in communication in 1987.
Pioso was vice president of the Life and Safety division of Med-Assist Inc. of Milwaukee and later worked in sales for Cintas Corporation of Cincinnati.
He was a member of Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun.
Pioso enjoyed camping, hiking, hunting and computers, his family said.
He is survived by wife Hillary Bybee Pioso, son Brandon Pioso and daughter Brittany Pioso, all of Lilburn, Ga.; parents Gail and Robert Pioso of Eugene, Ore.; and brothers Bennett G. Pioso of Clifton, Va., and Richard G. Pioso of Wellesley, Mass.
Cantor Donna Faye Marcus officiated at funeral services in Georgia, Aug. 31. The deceased was cremated.
