William J. Rubin

Former Milwaukeean William J. Rubin died Aug. 19 of heart failure in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. He was 81.

He was a graduate of West Division High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned a master’s degree in business administration.

He was the hospital administrator at the Belleview Health Care Center and a member of the Hospital Administrators Association.

He belonged to Congregation Anshai Lebowitz, where he was a board member. In addition, he was a member of B’nai B’rith and a 32nd Degree Mason. He also was an avid art collector.

He is survived by daughters Sharon Rubin of Chicago, Cynthia Rubin of Austin, Tex., and Deborah Martin of Atlanta.

Funeral services were conducted on Aug. 22 by Rabbi Bernard Reichman. Burial was in Anshai Lebowitz Cemetery.

Memorials to the synagogue were suggested by the family.
