Wallace Elkon

Wisconsin native Wallace Elkon died Jan. 24 in Omaha, Neb., at the age of 77.

He was born in Rhinelander, where he graduated from high school. He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Elkon; daughters Beth (Bill) Ginsburg of Omaha and Marsha (Ira) Cooper of Atlantic Beach, N.Y.; brother Edward Elkon of Milwaukee; brother-in-law Jerry (Marlene) Bernstein of Omaha; and seven grandchildren.
