Sue Elaine Mazur

Lifetime Milwaukeean Sue Elaine Mazur died of colon cancer on Nov. 8. She was 61.

A 1960 graduate of Washington High School, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1964 with a degree in speech pathology. She worked as a technical writer for Compuware Corporation, with a long-term placement at Johnson Controls. She belonged to several professional organizations for technical writers.

She was a member of Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun and active in its Sisterhood. She also was past president of Women’s American ORT and associated with Compassionate Friends. According to her family, she was an avid reader and loved to work crossword puzzles.

Rabbi Brian Comrov and Cantor David Barash officiated at funeral services on Nov. 10 at Second Home Cemetery.

She is survived by her mother, Lillian Mazur of Glendale; son David Sicherman of New York; sisters Lynne Milner of Shorewood and Jane (Irving) Suesskind of Whitefish Bay; brothers Howard (Judy) Mazur and Michael (Jill Eder) Mazur, both of Shorewood. She was predeceased by her son, Joseph Sicherman.
