Sherwin Joel Kader of Shorewood died on Aug. 27 at the age of 72.
Born in Milwaukee, he graduated from Washington High School and attended St. Norbert College.
He worked for many years as a factory worker/inspector at A.O. Smith Corporation and was a member of Congregation Beth Jehudah.
Kader was involved in many organizations, including St. Andrew’s Society, Concerned Jewish Citizens, and the Robert Burns Club.
According to his family, he enjoyed “good conversation, wine making, studying Torah with his son, building model ships, and bragging about his grandchildren.”
He is survived by wife Priscilla Kucik; daughters Dana (Alan) Robb of Milwaukee, Rona (Gary) Wolfe of Shorewood, and Judy (Bruce) Brenner of West Hartford, Conn.; son Jacob (Sara Esther) Kader of Edison, N.J.; and ten grandchildren.
Rabbi Michel Twerski officiated at graveside services held in Mound Zion Cemetery on Aug. 28.
The family appreciates memorial contributions to the Adina Kader Scholarship Fund at the Wisconsin Institute for Torah Study.
