Funeral services were held June 5 for Sarah Lakritz, 85. She died June 3 at the Jewish Home and Care Center.
Born in London, England, she came here from New York and worked as a secretary for the Milwaukee Public Schools. She enjoyed music, especially playing the piano and singing.
She is survived by daughters Arlene (Jerry) Kurzer and Lillian Lakritz of Milwaukee; sons Howard (Ellen) Lakritz and Sheldon (Shirley) Lakritz of Milwaukee; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Her husband, Louis Lakritz, died in 1988.
Rabbi Shlomo Pontos officiated at the service. Burial was in Mound Zion Cemetery.
The family suggested memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association of Southeastern Wisconsin.
