Lifelong Milwaukeean Ruth Stein died April 6 at the age of 83. She was a resident of the Jewish Home and Care Center.
She graduated from Washington High School in 1938 and worked as a bookkeeper at La Frontera Restaurant. She was a member of Congregation Beth Israel.
She is survived by son Rodd (Sandi) Stein; daughter Janis (Perry) Friesler; brother Laurence (Renee) Gardner; and a grandchild. Her husband, Bill Stein, died last year.
Rabbi Paul Kerbel officiated at the funeral on April 9. Burial was in Second Home Cemetery.
Memorials to the Jewish Home and Care Center were suggested by the family.
