Mona L. Laufer

Milwaukee native Mona Louise Laufer died Oct. 27 of cancer. She was 63.

She grew up Milwaukee and moved to North Miami Beach, Fla., with her parents after her father retired. The family returned to Milwaukee in the mid-1980s. Since that time, she resided at Habush House and was employed at Goodwill Industries.

She is survived by many relatives of the Laufer and Schmidt families and by her second family at Habush House, especially her roommate, Kathy Armstrong.

Rabbi Shlomo Pontos officiated at the funeral on Oct. 30. Burial was in Beth Hamedrosh Hagodel Cemetery.

Memorials to Jewish Family Services would be appreciated by the family.
