Community activist May Dubin (nee Holzman) died Dec. 13 at the age of 96.
She was born in Milwaukee and graduated from North Division High School.
According to her family, she was a member of “every Jewish organization in the city and more.” In addition, she was part owner of a family recycling business.
She was a member of Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Lew Dubin, in 1994; sons Franklin Dubin and Richard Dubin; daughter-in-law Nancy Dubin; and granddaughter Rochelle Sennett. She is survived by five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Rabbi Gideon Goldenholz officiated at the funeral on Dec. 16. Burial was in Mound Zion Cemetery.
Memorials to Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue would be appreciated by the family.
