Longtime Milwaukee resident Lucile Youngerman Levy (nee Nickoll) died Oct. 19 in Madison. She was 85.
She graduated from Shorewood High School and attended Sophie Newcomb College and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
She lived in Milwaukee from birth until 1977 when she moved to Naples, Fla. She spent the final three years of her life in Madison.
She was a former member of Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun.
Her interests included traveling, reading and spending time with her family.
Her children said she will be remembered for her “kindness and sweetness and her ever-present smile.”
She is survived by daughters Nancy Wolbe of Dallas, Tex. and Barbara Palmer of Cincinnati, Ohio; son Jim Youngerman of Madison; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husbands Ervin J. Youngerman in 1961 and F. Lester Levy in 1998.
Rabbi Ronald Shapiro officiated at graveside services on Oct. 22 at Spring Hill Cemetery.
