Louis M. Kornman

Louis M. Kornman of Fox Point died Dec. 26. He was 79.

He was born and raised in Denver. In 1944, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps. and was discharged in 1945. He graduated from the University of Missouri, where he was a member of Zeta Beta Tau fraternity, in 1949.

He moved to Milwaukee shortly after his wedding in 1949 and became a securities broker. Spending the rest of his life in Fox Point, he worked for 50 years as a broker and principal in the securities industry working for several different firms.

A member of Brynwood Country Club, he enjoyed playing golf and cards. He was also a fan of the Green Bay Packers and enjoyed attending games with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by wife Joan H. Kornman (nee Kaufman) in 2000. He is survived by daughter Maggie Kornman of Oakland, Calif; son Peter (Mary) Kornman of New York; sister Betty Werthan of Nashville; brother-in-law Murray Kaufman of Los Angeles; and three grandchildren.
