Lillian Medress of Sun City, Ariz., died July 29 at Sun Health Hospice in Peoria, Ariz. She was 91.
Born in Milwaukee, she was a graduate of North Division High School. She married Gabriel Medress in 1937 and, two years later, accompanied him to Green Bay where they opened Gabe’s Television and Appliances. They retired to Sun City in 1977.
She was involved in community activities and committed to charitable organizations in both Green Bay and Sun City, according to her family. She was a member of Congregation Cnesses Israel in Green Bay and Temple Beth Shalom in Sun City. She volunteered for the Green Bay chapter of the American Red Cross and was a member of her congregations’ sisterhoods, Hadassah, Women’s American ORT and Jewish Women International.
Preceded in death by her husband in April, she is survived by sons Mark (Marjorie) Medress of Berkeley, Calif., and Harvey (Judy) Medress of Green Bay; two granddaughters and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services took place July 31 in Sun City.
