Lifelong Milwaukeean Jordan Melvin Wolf of Whitefish Bay died May 11 of complications of a stroke. He was 81.
He graduated from Washington High School in 1938 and from Marquette University in 1946. He worked at the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department in its Bureau of Records and Identification. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf, bowling, watching sports on television and listening to opera.
He was a member of Congregation Shalom and served on its board of trustees. A past “Man of the Year,” he was also a recipient of its Pasch Award. He also was an associate member of Hadassah.
He is survived by his wife Edith Wolf (nee Maletz). He was preceded in death by his son, David Richard Wolf.
Rabbi Ronald Shapiro officiated at the funeral on May 16. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
