Milwaukee native Jeanette Marvin of Glendale, died May 4. She was 92.
A 1932 graduate of Washington High School, she also studied at the Layton School of Art. She worked as a bookkeeper, first for her father and later for other employers. Her last place of employment was Factory Service in Glendale.
She was a member of Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue and its Sisterhood, Hadassah and NA’AMAT USA. In addition to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she especially enjoyed studying Hebrew, sewing, reading, playing slot machines and traveling to Israel, her family said.
Preceded in death by husbands Morris Greenberg, M.D., and Sherman Marvin, she is survived by daughter Susan (Howard) Cohn of Bergen County, N.J.; sons Jerome Greenberg, O.D., of Des Moines, Iowa, and Alan (Doreen) Marvin of Brooklyn, N.Y.; brother Stanton (Cookie) Marks, M.D., of Milwaukee; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Cantor Jerome Berkowitz officiated at graveside services in Second Home Cemetery, May 5.
Memorials to Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue would be appreciated by the family.
