Iva Teplin

Lifelong Milwaukeean Iva Teplin (nee Cooper) died at the Jewish Home and Care Center on April 28 following a long illness. She was 80.

She was a graduate of Bay View High School. A homemaker, she was married to Dr. Jack Joseph Teplin for more than 58 years.

She was a member of Congregation Shalom and belonged to B’nai B’rith, Milwaukee Jewish War Veterans Auxiliary and Women’s American ORT.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons Dr. Robert (Marian) Teplin of Mequon, Dr. Albert (Jerilyn) Teplin of Rockville, Md., and Dr. Stanley (Judith) Teplin of Mequon; sister Sarah Plotkin; brother Alex Cooper; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Rabbi Ronald Shapiro officiated at the funeral on May 1. Burial was in Mound Zion Cemetery.
