Israel Goodman of Mequon died March 5. He was 80.
Born in Spencer, Mass., he graduated from David Prouty High School in 1941, and earned his B.A in business administration from the University of Nebraska in 1955. He moved to Wisconsin in 1961.
A member of Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue, he was also affiliated with the Scottish Rite and the Masonic Lodge. He worked as a stockbroker for Merrill Lynch in Milwaukee.
He is survived by sons Stanley (Susan) Goodman of Farmington Hills, Mich., and David Goodman of Milwaukee; sisters Ethel Green of Boston, Clara (Manny) Weintraub of Worcester, Mass., and Rose (Baruch) Berman of Los Angeles; and two grandchildren.
Rabbi Gideon Goldenholz officiated at funeral services March 7. Burial was at Spring Hill Cemetery.
Memorials to the Special Olympics of Wisconsin would be appreciated by the family.
