Ignacio D. Vainstein

Argentinian Ignacio David Vainstein died May 15 of cancer at the age of 64.

He worked for many years for the Jewish Congress in Argentina and for OJI, the local Jewish newspaper, and belonged to Liberty Temple and Camargo Temple.

However, he moved to the United States to seek a better life for his family, and came to Milwaukee in 1994 from El Paso, Tex.

His family said he was a generous and giving man who dedicated most of his life to working for the Jewish Congress. His priorities were to help others and always provide the best of himself.

Though he struggled at times, he believed the key to success was to keep his family together and work as a team to complete his goal, despite the bumps and curves along the way.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Zelda Bejar; son Leonardo Vainstein of Milwaukee; daughters Karina and Silvina Vainstein of Waukesha; and four grandchildren.

Rabbis Dovid and Moshe Rapoport officiated at the funeral on May 16. Burial was in Agudas Achim Cemetery.
