Funeral services were held Feb. 29 for Helen Frank (nee Rice) of Glendale. She died Feb. 27 at age 99.
A Milwaukee native, she attended Whitefish Bay High School and Miss Brown’s School of Business. She was a homemaker, married first to Dr. Samuel Koppel, who died in 1949, and later to Ezra Frank, who died in 1986.
She also played the piano and later in life was an artist, painting mostly landscapes and still lifes, according to her family.
She is survived by daughter Phyllis (Irv) Koren of Cedarburg; son Richard (Charlotte) Koppel of Scottsdale, Ariz.; son-in-law Dr. Richard “Buz” Cooper of Milwaukee; 14 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter Jaclyn Cooper.
The family conducted the service. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to the cancer research program at the Medical College of Wisconsin would be appreciated by the family.
