Gertrude Marilyn Levin (nee Ottenstein) of Glendale died April 9 of heart failure. She was 91.
A native of Milwaukee, she was a 1930 graduate of North Division High School. She was a member of Congregation Sinai and a life-member of NA’AMAT USA and Hadassah. Her special interests included gardening, sewing, Jewish studies, cooking and the stock market.
Her children said, “Friends and relatives will remember her warmth, her sense of humor, and concern for others.”
Her husband, Jack D. Levin, died in 1984. Survivors include son Dr. Victor (Ellen) Levin of Houston; daughters Laurie (Martin) Merel of Skokie, Ill., and Deborah (James) Gollin of Mequon; brothers Dr. Bernard Ottenstein and Dr. Harold Ottenstein of Milwaukee; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Rabbi David Cohen officiated at funeral services April 11. Burial was in Second Home Cemetery.
