Milwaukee native Genevieve Russove died of cancer on June 13 in Chicago. She was 79.
She graduated from Riverside High School and served in the Women’s Army Corps from 1944-45. Later, she did clerical and office work.
She belonged to Temple Shalom in Chicago and supported the City of Hope National Medical Hospital. Her special interests included the arts, opera and reading.
She is survived by her brother, Jack Russove of Manitowoc.
Rabbi Gideon Goldenholz officiated at the funeral on June 17. Burial was in Mound Zion Cemetery.
Contributions to the City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, Calif., were suggested by the family.
