Former Milwaukee resident Frances Ross (nee Melcher) of Hollywood, Fla., died on March 15 at the age of 94.
Ross was born in Omaha, Neb., and moved to Milwaukee after her marriage.
Over the years, she worked as a cashier, a salesperson and a receptionist. After retiring to Florida, she was active in Jewish Women International and Women’s American ORT.
According to her family, she loved to travel and was still planning trips well into her 90s.
Husband Sydney Ross preceded her in death. She is survived by daughter Harlyne Blum of Mill Valley, Calif.; son Dr. Irving (Beatrice) Kohlberg of Seattle; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Memorial services were held on March 26 at the Jewish Community Funeral Home in Milwaukee.
