Faye G. Sigman

Funeral services were held Feb. 9 for Faye Sigman (nee Greenberg) of Appleton. She died Feb. 6 at age 93.

She was born in Milwaukee and moved in 1927 to Appleton, where her husband, Abraham Sigman, opened his law practice. He died in 1982.

She belonged to Moses Montefiore Synagogue in Appleton and was active in Hadassah and the League of Women Voters. She organized the synagogue’s religious school and served as its first principal for 35 years.

She is survived by daughters Leah (Bud) Temkin of Glendale and Myra (Royal) Taxman of Fox Point; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rabbis Marc Berkson and Francis Barry Silberg officiated at the service. Burial was in Anshai Lebowitz Cemetery.

The family would appreciate memorials to the Faye Greenberg Sigman Camping Fund at the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center.
