Eva Jacob (nee Peckerman) died Oct. 12 at the age of 95.
A Milwaukee native, she graduated from North Division High School in 1930. She was a co-owner with her husband of MidCity Super Market. When she was not working there she was active in her synagogue’s Sisterhood and Mr. & Mrs. Club, her family said. “Her whole life, she was devoted to her family,” they said.
She was a life member of NA’AMAT USA, Ladies Auxiliary of Milwaukee Harmony Lodge, Hadassah, and Congregation Anshai Lebowitz.
Preceded in death by husband Nathen Jacob in 2003, she is survived by Judy Glotzer of Mequon; son Mark (Christine) Jacob of Bayside; sister Ruth Miller of Milwaukee; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Rabbi Bernard Reichman officiated at graveside services in Second Home Cemetery on Oct. 14. The family appreciates memorial contributions to the Jewish Home and Care Center.
