Erwin Schuster

Funeral services were held Nov. 20 for Erwin Schuster of Glendale. He died Nov. 18 of complications of Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 84.

He was born in Poland and came to Milwaukee in 1929. He graduated in 1937 from North Division High School. For many years, he owned and operated Hi Mount Shoe Store on North Ave.

He was a member of Congregation Agudas Achim Chabad and served as its cemetery representative. He also was active in B’nai B’rith where he served on its board and organized numerous events. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, playing cards, reading and traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Edith Schuster (nee Cohen); son Harvey Schuster of Boston; daughters Marcia (Les) Singer of Glendale and Linda (Allan) Bankier of Milwaukee; and a granddaughter.

Rabbi Dovid Rapoport officiated at the funeral. Burial was in Agudas Achim Cemetery.
