Racine native David Goodman died April 28 in Longboat Key, Fla., of a heart attack. He was 84.
He studied at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Northwestern University, earning a bachelor of science degree in journalism.
He was director of public relations for General Electric X-Ray Co. and was associated with Barkin-Herman and Associates. He was a member of the Public Relations Society of America and a contributing editor of the Public Relations Journal.
He wrote three books: “Presidents Letter Book,” “Emotional Well-Being Through Rational Behavior Training” and “Teaching Reasoning Skills in Schools and Homes.”
He belonged to Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Goodman (nee Steinberg); daughters Kathy Aller of Crawfordville, Fla., and Laurie (Steven) Horowitz of Milwaukee; son Ted (Nancy) Goodman of Bergenfield, N.J.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted by Rabbi Francis Barry Silberg on May 3. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
