Bernice Siegel, nee Petashnick, of Milwaukee, died on Dec. 2 at the age of 83.
Born in Milwaukee, Siegel graduated from Washington High School.
In addition to her work as a bookkeeper, she was an active member of Congregation Beth Israel, Hadassah-Milwaukee Chapter, and Jewish Women International.
According to her family, she was an award-winning ceramicist, an accomplished needlecrafter and an avid baker. She also relished time with her children and grandchildren, her family said.
Husband Joseph Siegel preceded her in death in 1984. She is survived by daughter Patricia Sheperd Stein of Fairfax, Va.; sister Lenore (Jack) Matin of Toms River, N. J.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held at Goodman-Bensman Funeral Home on Dec. 4. Rabbi Jacob Herber officiated.
The family appreciates memorial contributions to Congregation Beth Israel or Hadassah-Milwaukee Chapter.
