Funeral services were held Nov. 28 for Annie Bookstaff (nee Mirochnik) of Mequon. She died Nov. 26 of cancer at the age of 67.
Born in New York City, she came to Milwaukee in 1946 and graduated from Washington High School. She then attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
She was a real estate sales agent with Coldwell Banker in Mequon. She belonged to Congregation Shalom.
Devoted to her family, she also enjoyed playing golf and tennis, traveling and shopping. Her family said, “She was to purses what Jackie O was to sunglasses.” She also was known for her special smile and sense of humor, according to her family.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Edward Bookstaff; daughters Carolyn (Larry) Kaye of San Diego, Shari (Barry) Snitovsky of San Francisco and Stephanie (Matt) Turk of Phoenix; son Howard (Karen) Bookstaff of Houston; and 11 grandchildren.
Rabbi Ronald Shapiro officiated at the funeral. Burial was in Agudas Achim Cemetery.
