Alvin M. Wheeler died July 21 from complications of a stroke he suffered on July 4. He was 75.
A graduate of Marquette University, he spent his career in accounting and teaching. He taught accounting classes and business law at Spencerian College, Milwaukee Area Technical College and Milwaukee Downer College, where he had the distinction of teaching the final class held on the old east side campus.
He was a past president of Milwaukee AZA and of the Congregation Anshe Emeth Hebrew School. He belonged to Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun and the Milwaukee Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Carole Wheeler (nee Popuch); daughter Sherry Wall of Brookfield; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held July 25. Burial was in Second Home Cemetery.
