Ida B. Bassin

Funeral services were held Nov. 23 for Ida Belle Bassin (nee Plotkin) of Glendale. She died Nov. 20 at the age of 91.

She was born in Bobruysk, Russia, and settled in Milwaukee in 1912. She was a member of Congregation Beth Israel.

She is survived by sons David (Judith) Bassin of Brown Deer and Jeffrey (Gayna) Bassin of Cincinnati; sister Marjorie Turner of Milwaukee; brother Abe (Hilda) Plotkin of Milwaukee; and two grandsons. Her husband, Carl Bassin, died in 1975.

Rabbi Gil-Ezer Lerer officiated at the funeral. Burial was in Anshai Lebowitz Cemetery.

Memorials to Hadassah or the Wisconsin Leukemia Society would be appreciated by the family.
