Local student earns presidential scholarship
February 23rd, 2001
Adam Lechter, a 1999 graduate of Nicolet High School, has been named the recipient of the Presidential Scholarship at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y. The honor is given to the member of the class with the highest grade point average. He will graduate this spring.
The son of Debby and Steve Lechter of Fox Point, Adam was an intern at Pandl’s of Bayside, worked at the River Lane Inn and did an externship from the CIA at The Blackbird in Chicago.
