Feldman earns doctorate from Harvard

November 23rd, 2007

Andrew Feldman received a Ph.D. in public policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He earned his undergraduate degree from Swarthmore College and his master’s degree from Harvard.

Feldman’s dissertation examined why some “welfare to work” employment programs are more successful than others at helping welfare recipients get and keep jobs. It focuses on the New York City welfare system, the U.S.’s largest urban system.

A graduate of Whitefish Bay High School, Feldman was class president in high school and college and received the Ivy Award for outstanding male student at Swarthmore.

He served in the White House under President Clinton as a member of the Council of Economic Advisors.
