Social Science Club celebrates centennial

The Social Science Club, a women’s study group that meets monthly from November to April, is celebrating its centennial this year. Among the officers are Belle Ann Freund , president; Sheila Eglash , vice president; Leslie Usow and Ilene Friedman , secretaries; Barbara Blutstein , treasurer; Milicent Beck , membership; Lea Picciolo , program; Barbara Fernholz , parliamentarian; Rona Gahr , program; Helen Polacheck , audit; and Bonnie Sumner , sunshine.

The topic for this year is “The Juvenile Justice System.” The opening meeting celebration will be held on Monday, Oct. 15, at the Hilton-Milwaukee River. Fr. Jose Ramon Flores, community coordinator of the First Time Juvenile Defender Program of Milwaukee County, will speak on “The Psychology of Mind-Health Realization in High Risk Populations.”
