Abby Berman will celebrate becoming a bat mitzvah on March 31 at Congregation Shalom. She is the daughter of Michele and Jay Berman of Bayside. She is the sister of Sam, 11, and Ellie, 7.

The maternal grandparents are Carol and Werner Richheimer of Mequon. Deanna Berman Garber of Chicago and Melvin Berman of Indianapolis are the paternal grandparents.

Trude Strauss of Milwaukee is the maternal great-grandmother.

Abby is a student at Bayside Middle School.
