BIMA summer arts program for teens relocates to Brandeis campus

January 19th, 2007

Beginning this summer, BIMA the summer arts program for Jewish teens founded in 2004 will take place on the Brandeis University campus in Waltham, Mass., nine miles west of Boston.

Open to current ninth- through 11th-grade students, BIMA will take place alongside Genesis at Brandeis, now in its 11th year, where participants will maintain their distinct programs but will have opportunities for creative interaction.

Students at BIMA spend time in their primary arts majors (chamber or choral music, jazz, painting, creative writing or theater), as well as investigating an array of electives in a pluralistic Jewish environment embracing a wide range of religious observance.
