A son, Isaac Franklin, was born June 20 to Jennifer and Bernie Degenhardt of Madison. He is their first child.

The maternal grandparents are Ellen Abrams Blankenship and Jay Blankenship of Shorewood. Betty Christopherson of DeForest is the paternal grandmother.

He was named in memory of his maternal great-grandparents, Florence and Isador Abrams.
