Michael Mark Obletz

Michael Mark Obletz of Campbellsport, Wis. died Aug. 27 of an apparent heart attack. He was 58.
Born in Buffalo, N.Y., he graduated from summa cum laude from Denison University, in Granville, Ohio, in 1969 with a bachelors degree in mathematics and comparative religion. He also attended Pomona College, Claremont in California.
He came to Wisconsin in 1975 from California and most recently worked as an analyst for Blue Cross Blue Shield-South Carolina.
A lover of nature, he enjoyed hiking, canoeing, camping, chess and his family. He was a man of truth and a good friend to all he met, his family said.
He is survived by his wife Karen Lupa; son Jacob Obletz of Mason, Wis.; daughter Eta (Henoch) Duboff; sister Patricia Obletz and two grandchildren, all of Milwaukee.
Rabbi Yisroel Shmotkin officiated at graveside services Aug. 28 in Second Home Cemetery.
