JFS named ‘Employer of the Year’

October 22nd, 2004

Jewish Family Services was named “Employer of the Year” in the small employer category by The Wisconsin Older Worker Network (WOWN) on Thursday, Oct. 14, at WOWN’s annual meeting in Oshkosh.

“We take great pride in this recognition,” said JFS executive vice president Elliot Lubar. “JFS has a long history of respecting older workers for their experiences and knowledge. Quite simply, we view older workers as mentors for new employees of all ages.”

WOWN has as its mission to promote older workers as an integral part of the workforce, foster cooperation between older worker programs and the private sector, and increase awareness of older worker issues.
