Katz to head Israel Bonds

March 12th, 2004

Moshe Katz has been named the general chairman for Wisconsin State of Israel Bonds. Previously, he served as campaign chairman for 2002 and 2003.

Katz has been a partner in Wellston Properties, a family business that owns and manages properties, for more than 12 years. He also serves on many boards including the Jewish Education Service of North America (JESNA), the Milwaukee Jewish Federation and the Historic Third Ward Association.

Further, he is a past president of the Milwaukee Jewish Council for Community Relations, past chair of the Coalition for Jewish Learning and vice president of the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center.

According to Bonnie Jacobson, executive director, “Moshe is a dedicated humanitarian who puts forth 200 percent for every cause he supports, every organization in which he is involved, every relationship he nurtures and develops. He typifies what it means to be a ‘mensch.’”

The goal of the 2004 campaign is to sell $15 million of Israel bonds. Since 1951, Israel Bonds proceeds have been used to develop Israel’s economic infrastructure.
